Build and lead Tremendous' Prepaid Cards engineering team as it expands into new card types and countries. Coach engineers, own technical quality through architecture and code review, set team standards, improve processes, and lead AI adoption while reporting to the Director of Engineering.
8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading a team as a manager or tech lead; strong technical judgment, written and cross-functional communication, product intuition, effective use of AI tools, talent development ability, and empathy. Experience with Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, or Google Cloud is a plus.
Base salary of USD 180,000-240,000, equity, fully remote work from anywhere in the Americas, a USD 5,000 monthly AI-tools budget, low-meeting async-first culture, and reliable infrastructure with controlled technical debt.
