Build production AI infrastructure for an early-stage healthcare technology client. Architect LLM-powered clinical-decision pipelines, develop Python backend services integrated with enterprise health systems, establish evaluation and monitoring, manage compliance-aware integrations, and work across RAG, document processing, cloud infrastructure, and observability.
5+ years of software engineering, including at least 2 years shipping production AI or ML systems; hands-on LLM application experience with prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and evaluations; strong Python backend skills with FastAPI, async patterns, typing, and pytest; AWS, GCP, or Azure experience; enterprise integration, compliance, auditability, and security experience; and ability to scope solutions with nontechnical stakeholders. Healthcare, HIPAA, FHIR, HL7, EDI, TypeScript, Next.js, or monorepo experience is advantageous.
