Build, maintain, and improve defensive security measures, tools, and processes that protect systems, applications, and data. The role works with Security, DevOps, and Engineering teams to identify risks, remediate vulnerabilities, strengthen security posture, maintain IDS or IPS, support incident response, secure CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud infrastructure, and document security standards and playbooks.
Experience in security engineering, system administration, or related roles; solid understanding of network security including firewalls, IDS or IPS, proxies, and VPNs; vulnerability management tools and processes; scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and cloud-native security; hands-on endpoint security and monitoring tools; strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Nice to have: Docker, Kubernetes, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, SIEM and log analysis, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
