Airbnb is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for the Unified Data Store team in its Brazil Engineering Hub. The team designs, builds, and operates Airbnb's mission-critical global system-of-record storage platform powering user profiles, listings, reservations, and financial transactions. The role serves as a technical leader for the UDS Client Stack, leading long-term architecture and roadmap work, designing scalable data access layers, driving engineering excellence, simplifying developer interaction with complex data systems, and partnering globally with UDS and Data Infrastructure teams.
Requisitos
9+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record at Senior or Staff level in a high-growth environment. Deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems, including storage internals, networking, and consistency models. Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives, influence architecture across multiple teams, and mentor senior talent. Strong platform mindset focused on developer experience and system reliability at scale. Exceptional communication skills for technical partners and internal customers. Interest in emerging technologies, including Applied AI, for data management and observability.
